To become death in Venetica is a calling, fulfilled by a man of flesh and blood – equipped with special supernatural skills in order to be able to carry out the duties of the office.
A new death is selected regularly by “Corpus”, a secret council. This time however Corpus really makes a wrong decision: The “new” death, Victor, turns out to be a crazed necromancer who manages to turn himself into an overpowering undead with seedy tricks and dark rituals and thus attains almost unlimited power in addition to immortality.
As it is strictly forbidden for the chosen death to devote himself to necromancy, the committee revokes Victor ‘s nomination immediately and declares a new death in his stead without delay.
The power-hungry Victor however does not want to relinquish his position again. He continues to practice the dark arts in order to gather numerous dark and dangerous creatures and tainted souls from the underworld around him. He thus succeeds in eliminating the newly designated death and takes over his power for his own purposes. The effects on the world ‘s balance are calamitous and – should Victor be able to keep himself in power – its dark consequences are irreversible.

Dark Void is a sci-fi action-adventure game that combines an adrenaline-fueled blend of aerial and ground-pounding combat. Este cel mai asteptat joc al anului pentru PC. Istoria Grand Theft Auto a inceput in urma cu cativa ani cand, probabil, multi dintre voi abia descopereati consolele “Terminator” si faceati schimburi de casete galbene. De la grafica 2D, Rockstar a trecut la trei dimensiuni in GTA III, in 2002 pentru PC-uri (unul dintre cele mai controversate jocuri facute vreodata). Nu vreau s-o lungesc prea mult cu istoria GTA, dar avand ocazia de a scrie despre acest joc, nu puteam sa ignor evolutia titlului. Sunt sigur ca nu este nici unul printre voi care sa fi dat click la acest torrent si sa nu fi jucat macar o data in viata lui Vice City, spre exemplu. Deci n-are rost s-o mai lungim.
GTA IV te pune in pielea lui Niko Bellic, un emigrant rus care a venit in america chemat de varul sau. Se astepta la o viata usoara, plina de posibilitati si orizonturi deschise. S-a inselat. Pentru cei care nu au jucat inca, n-o sa dau prea multe detalii legate de povestea jocului. Pot sa va spun doar ca Niko este un tip foarte simpatic, amuzant care, totodata, este si un asasin cu sange rece. Surprinzator, nu de putine ori il veti auzi cum isi cere scuze dupa ce a trecut cu cinci tone de “gip” peste capul unui pieton. Personajele pe care le veti intalni in joc au personalitati diverse, bine puse in evidenta de vocile actorilor, de animatiile extraordinare si, cu siguranta, unele vor deveni antipatice. La fel de bine, vei putea ajunge sa iti pese de soarta unui personaj, iar la un moment dat vei fi pus si in situatia in care trebuie sa hotarasti soarta unora dintre tovarasii tai. Dialogurile sunt demne de filme artistice, iar scenele dintre misiuni sunt realizate exceptional.
Toata actiunea se petrece in Liberty City – o copie “ingrozitor” de fidela a marelui New York. Daca visai vreodata sa ajungi in Times Square sau la picioarele Statuii Libertatii, acum ai ocazia. Sunt multe lucruri pe care le poti face in oras, mai ales dupa ce reusesti sa ai acces in toate cele trei insule. Poti sa te duci sa faci curvasarie, dansuri perverse, poti sa joci biliard (e foarte tare!), bowling, sau sa dai o gheara pe net la un internet cafe, poti sa te duci la spectacole si restaurante. Sunt puncte de mare altitudine unde te poti cocota si admira orasul, poti sa vizitezi si sa casti ochii pur si simplu. Liberty City e, fara doar si poate, fantastic. Chiar ai impresia ca acolo e viata, desi sunt poligoane puse in miscare (asta asa ca sa va trezesc la realitate).
Gameplay – aici vorbim de o abordare diferita fata de ceea ce jucasem in Vice City sau San Andreas. Producatorii au mizat mai mult pe realism si credeti-ma ca este mult mai usor sa omori pe cineva cum, la fel de bine, daca nu esti atent, o poti mierli si tu. Exista un sistem de “cover” cu ajutorul caruia te poti adaposti de gloantele baietilor chititi sa-ti incheie conturile cu joaca. Este ceva ce s-a vazut si in Mass Efect sau Gears of War. Cover-ul este foarte eficient in nenumarate situatii si, uneori, nu poti supravietui daca nu te adapostesti. Masinile si celelalte vehicule se conduc usor, dar fiecare model se comporta diferit pe sosele, apa, sau aer. Poti sa te plimbi cu orice masina vrei, poti sa dai o tura cu salupa sau o “zona” cu elicopterul. Cel din urma o sa-ti dea cateva batai de cap la pilotaj daca joci cu mouse-ul si tastatura, insa cu un gamepad te vei descurca mult mai usor, mai ales la aterizare. Niko este dotat, inca de la inceput, cu un telefon mobil. Cu ajutorul lui tii legatura cu toate personajele cu care intrii in contact. Poti sa suni, sa fi sunat. Mai tarziu, primesti un mondel mai nou pe care-l poti personaliza si cu care chiar poti face fotografii. Bai cum s-au gandit astia la toate.
Pe partea vizuala, GTA IV este o mica-mare opera de arta. Atentia la detalii este naucitoare, iar toate lucrurile care te inconjoara par extrem de bine finisate. Arhitecturea cladirilor, dupa cum am mai spus, reprezinta copii fidele dupa cele din New York. Jocul de lumini si umbre dinamice este foarte bine realizat. Masinile arata extraordinar si veti recunoaste copii dupa modele pe care le vedeti si pe soselele din tara noastra, mai ales de prin Bucuresti sau Constanta. Modelele personajelor au, parca, ceva haios, insa sunt foarte bine realizate, iar texturile sunt foarte detaliate. E drept ca pentru a te bucura de toate deliciile vizuale ale jocului ai nevoie de un calculator bun, cu o placa video de ultima generatie. Il poti juca si pe un sistem mai modest, insa experienta nu va fi aceeasi.
Jocul este foarte lung si iti va lua zeci de ore pentru a-l termina. Ca sa intelegeti mai bine ce vreau sa spun, atunci cand aveam jocul completat 22%, inregistram putin peste 12 ore de joc. Sunt multe misiuni principale, sunt foarte multe secundare si o gramada de activitati care vor face din GTA IV o experienta de joc demna de povestit tuturor. Daca va veti folosi si de editorul video cu care putei face montaje cum actiunile voastre intreprinse in joc, atunci povestea voastra va fi cu mult mai credibila. Развлекайтесь! (adica “Have fun!”).
